Nephrology Department

Overview

Started in 1978, the Nephrology Department was formally built in 2002. It is a key discipline in Zhejiang Province, a consultant unit of the Nephrology Group of the Pediatrics Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a deputy director of the Nephrology Expert Committee of the Pediatric Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the chairman of the Pediatric Branch of the Zhejiang Society of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine and a deputy chairman of the Renal Disease Branch of Zhejiang Medical Association.

There is a clinical, scientific research, teaching and nursing team with more than 60 specialists in the department, including 7 chief physicians, 8 deputy chief physicians, among whom 1 is doctoral tutor and 1 master tutor. With 2 specialty wards, more than 60 specialty beds, 3 hemodialysis machines, the department treats more than 3300 inpatients of various types of kidney diseases every year, and more than 30,000 outpatients in specialist clinic.

Service

Various types of primary, secondary, congenital glomerulus, tubulointerstitial, renal vascular disease, and blood purification treatment of end-stage renal disease, etc.

(1)Primary glomerular disease: primary nephrotic syndrome, acute chain-sensing glomerulonephritis, IgA nephropathy, hemolytic uremic syndrome, renal cortical necrosis, various types of glomerular hematuria, various types of inherited glomerular diseases, etc.

(2)Secondary glomerular disease: anaphylactic purpura nephritis, lupus nephritis, hepatitis B virus-related nephritis, other various post-infective nephritis, metabolic syndrome-related glomerular disease, etc.

(3)Various types of acquired or congenital renal tubules and interstitial lesions: Renal tubular acidosis, Bartter syndrome, Fanconi syndrome, Dent disease, renal diabetes, idiopathic hypercalciuria, renal insipidus, interstitial nephritis, etc.

(4)Urinary tract infections and related diseases: upper / lower urethral infection, bladder-ureteral reflux, CAKUT, hydronephrosis, kidney stones, etc.

(5)Renal artery stenosis: renal hypertension, ANCA-associated vasculitis, etc.

(6)Other specific diseases: nocturnal enuresis, polycystic kidney disease, medullary sponge kidney, renal dysplasia, end-stage renal disease replacement therapy, etc.
