Pharmacy Department
Overview
The Pharmacy Department is a major department integrating drug production and supply, pharmacy management, pharmacy services, and scientific research. It consists of outpatient emergency pharmacy, inpatient pharmacy, intravenous drug deployment center, drug store, preparation room, drug inspection room, clinical pharmacy room, etc. In addition, the department is responsible for organizing the procurement and supply of drugs and chemical reagents in the hospital, quality control, preparation production, drug dispensing, rational drug use services, pharmaceutical research, etc.
Currently, this department employed 126 professional employees, including 3 chief pharmacists, 6 deputy chief pharmacists and 78 competent pharmacists. There are 3 doctors and 68 masters in it. This department has 2 mentorship masters in pharmacology from Zhejiang University, 1 151 talent training target in Zhejiang Province, and 1 new talent training target in Zhejiang medical circle.
In 2012, it was approved as a national training base for clinical pharmacists. There are three pediatric medication professional teaching teams in this department, and standardized training for more than 40 clinical pharmacists from 15 provinces and cities nationwide has been completed by it. It is an enrollment and training site for graduate students in pharmacology at Zhejiang University School of Medicine. At the same time, it undertakes the training and teaching of undergraduates and interns of pharmacy majors in Zhejiang University City College, Hangzhou Medical College, Jinhua Vocational and Technical College.
Professional Features
Based on the management of drug production, procurement, supply and quality, the Pharmacy Department focuses on the safe use of medicines for children, pays attention to quality and safety of it, continuously improves the management and service of pharmaceutical affairs, and provides multi-level pharmaceutical technical services.
Service features:
(1)The department carries out more than 15,000 times of monitors every year, including individualized drug monitoring, routine lamotrigine, oxcarbazepine, sodium valproate, carbamazepine, methotrexate, vancomycin, cyclosporine, tacrolimus, digoxin, etc. Also, in-depth research on individualized treatment of children can be carried out here.
(2)As member of the National and Provincial Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Sentinel Alliance, it pays attention to the safety of children's medication and actively develops children's medication safety monitoring and toxicology research, contributing to the title of advanced individual and advanced collective of provincial and municipal adverse reaction monitoring.
(3)It actively carries out comprehensive clinical evaluation of children's medicine to provide a basis for the rational optimization of pediatric medicine.
(4)The preparation room has developed and supplied lysine zinc sulfate oral solution, compound iron zinc oral solution, and furancillin oxidation Zinc tincture, medicament tincture and other special pediatric preparations to meet clinical needs.
While satisfying the supply of drugs and developing a series of special services inside the hospital, the Pharmacy Department attached great importance to the pharmacy research work, and conducted a series of studies based on refined management, pharmacy services and clinical issues.

In recent years, the department has obtained 6 projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 5 projects from the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation and the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Zhejiang Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Program, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Health, and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education. The staff of it published more than 20 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author, nearly 80 papers in domestic first-level journals and national core journals. Besides, three national invention patents were declared and two software copyrights were obtained.
