Neonatal Surgery Department
Overview
Neonatal Surgery Department is the largest professional neonatal surgery treatment center in Zhejiang Province, and one of the largest neonatal surgery teaching and resident standardized training bases in China. The subject scale, clinical and scientific research of the department all rank in the forefront of China, and it has an important influence in various aspects of pediatric surgery, teaching and research. There are 11 doctors in the department, including 2 chief physicians, 2 associate chief physicians, 4 surgeons with doctoral degree and 7 with master degree.
Various congenital abdominal wall deformities and digestive tract surgical diseases for patients from newborn period to 3 months: inguinal hernia, omphalocele, gastroschisis, short bowel syndrome, omphalomesenteric duct remnants, neonatal gastrointestinal perforation, hypertrophic pyloric stenosis, intestinal atresia, malrotation, annular pancreas, necrotizing enterocolitis, meconium peritonitis, Hirschsprung's disease, anorectal anomalies, biliary atresia and CIPO, etc.
Our department are mainly focus on genetic studies and stem cell therapy of Hirschsprung's disease, treatment options for anorectal anomalies, clinical and pathogenesis of neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis, intestinal adaptation of children with short bowel syndrome, intervention strategies for neonatal abdominal wall deformity, the best treatment strategy for indirect inguinal hernia, and infectious diseases induced sepsis in child.
