Overview
With the paradigm shift in healthcare from a "treatment-centered" approach to a "health-centered" model, the Health Management Center was established in 2017. Its mission is to address the most critical child health concerns of parents, society, and the government, delivering highly specialized services dedicated to children's well-being.
The Center integrates healthcare, early intervention, disease prevention, and scientific research. Leveraging the abundant expert resources of the Children's Hospital,Zhejiang University School of Medicine and integrating cutting-edge pediatric medical technologies, we have pioneered a distinctive new model for children's health service characterized by professionalism, systematization, and individualization. Through comprehensive screening and assessment of children's health risks, we provide professional, precise, and considerate full-spectrum health care for children.
(1) Health Check-up Clinic: Provides children’s health examinations and health management services, establishes personalized and comprehensive health management plans, and offers age appropriate health check ups and health guidance for children.
(2) Health Check-up Clinic (Report Interpretation): Offers detailed analysis and interpretation of children’s examination reports, provides parents with assessments of their child’s health status, and delivers corresponding health guidance.
(3) Breastfeeding Consultation Clinic: Provides consultation, intervention, and guidance on breastfeeding related issues, including solutions to maternal breast problems after birth and psychological support.
Professional Features
We adopt a "1+X" model for health check-ups, providing comprehensive and personalized children's health examinations.
"1" represents a basic or specialized examination package designed according to the developmental characteristics of children at different ages.
"X" represents additional items selected based on the child’s specific conditions. Examples include organ ultrasound screening, immune and allergy screening, tumor screening, and early kidney disease screening.
The Health Management Center offers one-stop and considerate services. A single health check-up allows access to five major specialist clinics, including internal medicine, surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, stomatology, and medical technology departments, eliminating the need for multiple registrations.
The academic leader serves as the Chairman of the Health Care Professional Committee of Kindergartens and Nurseries of the Zhejiang Provincial Preventive Medicine Association, Standing Committee Member of the Nutrition and Health Information Professional Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Bioinformatics Society, and Standing Committee Member of the Educational Neuroscience Professional Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Neuroscience Society.
In recent years, we have undertaken various research projects at different levels, including the National Science and Technology Innovation 2030 - "Brain Science and Brain-Inspired Intelligence" Major Project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Zhejiang Medical and Health Science and Technology Plan, with a total funding of over 17 million yuan. We have published more than 20 papers, including those indexed in SCI.
