West Lake International Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology Scientific Conference 2025 to Be Held in Hangzhou
As the National Clinical Research Center for Child Health, the Children's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine has been providing adolescent health care services since 1977. Its Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (PAG) team is the earliest-established, largest, and internationally influential full-time team in China. Under the leadership of Director Sun Liying, the PAG department of the hospital became the first FIGIJ (International Federation of Infantile and Juvenile Gynecology)-certified training and research center in mainland China in 2017, qualifying it to train global PAG physicians. Director Sun Liying serves as the third convener of the Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Group under the Chinese Medical Doctor Association’s Committee on Adolescent Health and Medicine, and is recognized as a pioneer in advancing PAG development in China. Director Gao Huihui, who is FIGIJ-certified, is currently the first and only IFEPAG researcher in mainland China and was elected as a council member of the new term of AOSPAG (Asia Oceania Society of Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology) in September 2025. To date, the PAG department of the Children's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine has trained over a hundred PAG specialists for China and the Asia-Pacific region.
In 2024, the inaugural "West Lake International Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology Scientific Conference" was successfully held. The conference facilitated in-depth discussions on topics such as genetics and developmental abnormalities, reproductive tract inflammation, gynecological tumors, and fertility protection. It showcased cutting-edge advancements including the application of Da Vinci robotic technology and fertility preservation techniques. Additionally, a dedicated Young Scholars' Session was organized to ignite the innovative potential of the next generation of professionals.

The "West Lake International Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology Scientific Conference 2025" will be held in Hangzhou from November 28th to 30th, 2025. The conference will continue to uphold the purpose of "protecting future mothers and safeguarding women's entire life cycle", with the theme of "bridging gaps, promoting integration and innovation", and further promoting the development of the discipline. The conference brings together authoritative figures from around the world to conduct in-depth discussions on topics such as macro perspectives and policy environments about children and adolescent females, gynecological technology innovation, adolescent sexual development abnormalities, tumors and fertility protection, reproductive tract structural abnormalities and rare diseases, and HPV infection and vaccination in adolescents. The conference has established multiple featured sections, including a youth forum, international chapters, and HPV vaccine sessions. The guests attending this conference include Prof. Karen Ng, the President of AOSPAG; Prof. Jerilee Azhary, the Secretary General of AOSPAG; Prof.Sonia Grover, former President of FIGIJ and Director of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne; Prof. Ani Amelia, former President of AOSPAG and a specialist in pediatric and adolescent gynecology at the National University of Malaysia. Dozens of foreign PAG experts came to Hangzhou to participate in this grand event.
