On July 7, 2022, the results of the national monitoring and assessment of the performance assessment of national tertiary public hospitals in 2020 were released. Children’s Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine was ranked the third among the tertiary public children’s hospitals in China, one place higher than that in 2019, and it ranks as the best grade A for specialized hospitals.

What makes the hospital continue to catch up and surpass, and continue to reach the forefront of the first-class children’s hospitals in China?

Shu Qiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of ZCH, said that the high-quality development of the hospital is inseparable from the continuous improvement of medical quality, operational efficiency and sustainable development. As the National Clinical Research Center for Child Health and the National Children’s Regional Medical Center, the hospital is striving to promote the construction of large platforms and large networks, the construction of academic peaks, and the development of multiple campuses, while strengthening scientific research, talents, and innovation to accumulate momentum for future development.

Fu Junfen, Executive Vice President of the hospital, said that the hospital continues to refine indicators and compact responsibilities in outpatient and inpatient departments. With the tenet of “for children’s health”, the hospital has set up a special class for the promotion of performance appraisal of public hospitals in five aspects. We’re honored and humbled to be ranked top 3, among the children’s hospitals in the nation. This recognition starts and ends with having the best team possible offering the best care to our sick kids.
