The 9th Qianjiang Adolescent Medicine Summit Forum Was Successfully Held

November 7-8, 2020, the 9th Qianjiang Adolescent Medicine Summit Forum and the 13th National Continuing Education Program of Pediatric Endocrinology, co-sponsored by the Children’s Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine and Zhejiang Children’s Growth and Development Quality Control Center, was successfully held in Hangzhou.

Professor Fu Junfen, the chairman of the conference, gave a welcome speech, expressing sincere welcome and gratitude to the experts who came from afar; and Professor Shu Qiang, the honorary chairman of the conference, delivered the opening speech, and wished the endocrinology of our hospital more brilliant achievements in the future.

More than 40 top domestic and foreign experts were invited to the conference, holding 29 lectures, including 2 international speakers and 27 domestic speakers. Professor Hakon Hakonarson from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania introduced the latest research and precision medicine in the specific patient population, and Professor Mitchell E. Geffner from Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles shared the shared the methods and latest clinical trials for treating children with achondroplasia on line.

Afterwards, wonderful lectures by domestic experts from hospitals across the countrygave wonderful lectures on children’s growth and development-related diseases, sexual development-related diseases, thyroid diseases, adrenal gland diseases, pituitary diseases, glucose metabolism diseases, and other topics. The number of online hits of the conference reached 21,800, although only around 100 participants were allowed to attend the on-site meeting due to the control of Covid-19 epidemic.
