I am engaged in the clinical work of pediatric rheumatology, immunology and allergy which includes: JIA (juvenile idiopathic arthritis), SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus), JDM (juvenile dermatomyositis) and related conditions, systemic vasculitis (including IgA vasculitis, Kawasaki disease, Takayasu arteritis), systemic sclerosis and related conditions, recurrent infection and infection-related conditions, allergic diseases, monogenic or autoinflammatory diseases (including periodic fever) and immunodeficiency or immunological diseases. And I am interested in pathogens and etiology of pediatric rheumatic, inborn error of immunity diseases and especially mechanisms of dermatomyositis, JAK/STAT signaling pathway associated diseases.
My previous lab finding demonstrated a virus encoded protein which mimics of human immunomodulators named CC chemokine, both in molecular structure and in vitro function. My recent work focuses on the pathogenesis of JDM and JDM associated calcinosis, monogenic lupus and associated infections. I am in charge of a multi-center real world study of efficacy of Belimumab in pediatric lupus nephritis. I am also engaged in the mechanism research work of gene mutation within the STAT pathway and its related immune dysregulatory diseases.
