Pediatric Endocrine & Metabolic Disease Center

Pediatric Endocrine and Metabolic Disease Center is the unit of the secretary general of Asia Pacific Pediatric Endocrinology Society and the president of Chinese Society of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism.The center is taking the leading position in the research and management of short stature, obesity, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, and disorders of sex development, etc. The center has built the earliest and largest cohort of childhood obesity in China and now is leading a number of national multi-center clinical studies. The center is pioneering in China to carry the hepatic proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H MRSI), assessment of beta cell function, and continues glucose monitoring (CGM) in conjunction with a continues subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII). The center has participated in the development of four childhood diabetes international guidelines.
