From June 9 to 13, 2025, I had the great honor of attending the International Council of Nurses (ICN) Congress held in Helsinki, Finland. This global event brought together more than 7,000 nursing professionals from around the world to explore advances in clinical practice, education, research, and the growing impact of artificial intelligence in healthcare.

During the conference, I shared our hospital’s innovative approaches in nursing education, particularly our structured mentorship program and competency-based training model. These initiatives drew significant interest from international peers and were praised for the effectiveness in supporting the professional development of new nurses.

The ICN Congress also offered valuable insights into emerging global trends in nursing, such as interdisciplinary collaboration, ethical considerations in AI deployment, and the pursuit of sustainable healthcare practices. Engaging with keynote lectures and interactive workshops broadened my perspective and provided fresh ideas for enhancing our own educational and research initiatives.

Beyond knowledge exchange, this experience strengthened my ability to engage in international dialogue and fostered connections with global nursing leaders. We also established initial partnerships with several institutions, laying the groundwork for future academic exchange and collaborative research. These developments will undoubtedly enrich our hospital's nursing education programs and clinical excellence, ultimately benefiting children's health outcomes.

Attending the 2025 ICN Congress reaffirmed our hospital’s commitment to advancing pediatric nursing education and research on a global scale. I look forward to bringing these insights and opportunities back to our institution, continuing our journey toward excellence in child health care.
