Delegation from Shizuoka Children's Hospital Visited our Hospital

On October 14, a delegation from Shizuoka Children's Hospital of Japan visited our hospital. The members of the delegation were: Prof. Sakamoto Kisaburo, President of Shizuoka Children's Hospital, Prof. Sato Keisuke, Director of Cardiology, Prof. Kenichiro Watanabe, Director of Hematology and Oncology, Atsumi Atsumi, Minister of Affairs, and Hiroyama Yokoyama, Vice Minister of Affairs. Prof. Shu Qiang, the President of our hospital, extended a sincere welcome to the guests and had a friendly meeting with them.

On behalf of the hospital, Fu Junfen, the Executive Vice President of our hospital, introduced the development of our hospital and the construction of the National Clinical Research Center. Then, the heads of different departments of our hospital accompanied the foreign guests to visit our department of cardiac surgery, cardiology, ultrasound, CICU, NICU, the operating room and other departments, and introduced the training and the organizational structure of professional talents to them. 

During the conference, Prof. Shu, Prof. Fu and the directors of the departments and had a communication with the delegation from the Shizuoka Children's Hospital. What's more, they also made plans for the long-term cooperation with each other. And finally, on behalf of the hospital, Prof. Shu hired Prof. Sakamoto as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the World Journal of Pediatric Surgery (WJPS) and issued a certificate to him.

On the afternoon, Prof. Sakamoto, Professor Sato and Prof. Watanabe respectively performed three lectures in our hospital, including Children's Medicine in Japan, Cardiac MRI and The Current Situation of Hematological Oncology in Children in Japan, introducing the latest researches and future plans for children's medicine, cardiac surgery, and hematology and oncology from Shizuoka Children's Hospital. The wonderful lectures were warmly welcomed by the medical staff in our hospital. 

In the next two days, the delegation had in-depth academic exchanges with the Cardiology, Radiology, Cardiac Ultrasound and Hematology and Oncology Department in our hospital to have joint consultations for intractable diseases. International exchanges, cooperation projects and follow-up plans in pediatric clinical, scientific research, and teaching have been discussed by them.
