The 7th English Speech Contest was Successfully Held

“The English speaking contest is a traditional cultural activity of our hospital, which has formed a unique brand. It is a good display platform for hospital staff, creating good English learning atmosphere, and also cultivating international medical talents for the internationalization of the hospital and Hangzhou city and the upcoming 2022 Asian Games.” With the opening speech of Prof. Shu Qiang, the Party Secretary of ZUCH, the 7th English Speech Contest of the hospital was officially kicked off on October 12.

A total of 41 contestants from clinical, administrative, and logistics departments attended this English speaking contest. Finally 12 contestants entered the finals. The contestants either talked about their love for the motherland, or talked about the achievements of the hospital in the past 70 years, or described the blueprint for the internationalization of the hospital. The finalists presented a wonderful speeches, and winners were selected on the spot according to the scores given by judges. Ms. Chen Ruohui from the Party Committee Office won the first prize of this English speech contest for her speech Embracing the New Glory in the Way of Mutual Growth.

At the end of the competition, a closing speech was delivered by Prof. Fu Junfen, Executive Vice President of the hospital, “Congratulations to all the winners of this competition. Through holding English contest and other activities, a positive learning environment will be built, the competence of international exchange will be enhanced and the process of hospital internationalization will accelerate.”
