Helicopter Transport Service Available for Critically Ill Children at ZUCH

At 1:50 pm on January 21, a rescue helicopter landed in front of the emergency department of the Binjiang District of the Children’s Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, marking the are emergency transport for critical ill children is available at ZUCH. From now on, patients around Zhejiang province, or even the whole country that need emergency rescue can dial the transfer line to call the helicopter service, and the critically ill patient will be transferred to the ZUCH as fast as possible.

In order to facilitate this service, ZUCH and Gongyang Club formally signed a public welfare strategic cooperation agreement on January 21st to improve the emergency response speed of the hospital. Dr. Fu Junfen, Executive Vice President of the hospital and Mr. He Jun, Chairman of the Board of the Joint Meeting as well as the founder of the Gongyang Club, signed the contract.

Dr. Fu Junfen said: “Time is crucial in saving lives. Air transport can help critically ill children get the fastest first aid and treatment, which brings greater hope of survival for patients and families.”
