International Video Conferences Deepened China-Indonesia Partnership

On December 29th, a video conference was conducted between the Heart Center of the Children’s Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine (ZUCH) and National Cardiovascular Center Harapan Kitaji through the Internet to respond to the needs of the Indonesian heart team. The two parties are dedicated to improve the screening, diagnosis and treatment of children with congenital heart diseases and to promote pediatric medicine.

In order to better respond to the "One Belt One Road" initiative, the Heart Center of our hospital established a partnership with the National Cardiovascular Center Harapan Kitaji in May 2021. Two parties will carry out regular exchanges in the future. At the same time, our hospital will also accept Indonesian medical staff to our hospital for further training. This meeting, the diagnosis of congenital heart diseases through B - ultrasound and X - ray was discussed and shared. The focus of the next meeting has been fixed on minimally invasive treatment of congenital heart diseases and the application of ECMO in pediatric severe cases.
