New Year’s Speech from the Hospital Leadership

The year of 2021 was the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the first year of the “14th Five-Year Plan”, and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Children’s Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. In 2021 fruitful achievements were made by all employees by keeping our original aspiration and mission firmly in mind.

Looking back, the reputation of the Children's Hospital was fully recognized, not only in Hangzhou but also in the whole country.

Looking back, the Children's Hospital evolved from a small “lane hospital” to a modern hospital with a "one body, four wings and two centers" pattern.  The cornerstones of Moganshan and Yiwu Campuses were laid and are ready to begin a new journey. A new blueprint radiating throughout the country was weaved.

Looking back, the Internet Medical Center and the Department of International Medicine were established, and the titles of Top Ten Hospital in Zhejiang Province and International Hospital were awarded. The Children's Hospital is making rapid progress toward its goal of becoming an international, advanced, and world-class children's hospital.

Looking back, the Children’s Hospital bravely undertook the mission of two national centers by showing boundless love to the society and patients, assisting Shaoxing and Ningbo in the fight against COVID-19, participating in the "Qiming Action" to help hearing-impaired children in Xinjiang, building a joint heart center with Wulumuqi Children’s Hospital, establishing the air emergency rescue network in cooperation with Ram Union, and initiating "unlimited out-patient visits" to serve more patients.

Looking back, the level of the hospital’s digital intelligent management was constantly making breakthroughs and innovations, and the intelligent hospital system was comprehensively upgraded and optimized. The Internet hospital integrates online and offline systems to break through information barriers and to build a high-level intelligent governance system.

On 31 December 2021, a new leadership of the Children’s Hospital was formed. At this historical starting point, the new leadership ensured that the Children’ Hospital would seize the day by making greater contributions to the development of medicine and the improvement of children’s health.

Looking forward, the Children's Hospital will shoulder the mission of the times, will honor the great trust of the country, and will live up to people's expectations to create a new brilliance of a high-level children's hospital and to welcome the opening of the 20th National People's Congress with outstanding achievements.
